COOKIE ALTIZER

“Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”
(II Timothy 2:3)

“Teaching ladies to maintain a Godly testimony throughout the trials of life".

Cookie Altizer is the wife of a former pastor and the mother of a daughter and three sons. Her husband, Guy Altizer, founded Calvary Baptist Church in Simpsonville, SC in 1985. This growing church now has over 800 members.

In 1984, the Altizers lost their youngest son in a car accident. Through this tragic experience, Guy and Cookie have been able to help and comfort many grieving parents and families.

Soon after her children were married, Cookie left her long-time profession of teaching kindergarten to become a student, again. She enrolled at Bob Jones University and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Guidance and Counseling in 1992. She was listed in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, 1992.

After her husband retired from his church in October of 2002, Guy and Cookie began Windows of Heaven Ministries. This new ministry encourages and assists missionaries and church planters. They also conduct couples retreats and speak at various conferences here in the United States as well as on the foreign mission field.

Her testimony of learning to trust God through difficult circumstances will inspire and challenge your heart.
